Here is a picture of Gabriel on the day of the baptism for those of you who were most unfortunately unable to attend and for those of you that were there! :) The blanket he is laying on was made from my wedding gown train.

Enjoy

On the day of the baptism, I opened a card from our neighbor Monica stating that Gabe was given a savings bond. She used her social which apparently is okay if you don't have the baby's social. So, mystery solved! Thanks Monica!

Yesterday Gabe received a $50 savings bond but I have no idea who it was from. Can anyone tell me? Usually you need the child's social security number but the last 4 listed on the certificate was not the last four of his or my social. I vaguely recall someone asking me for his social but now I have no clue who that was. I wish to thank the person and straighten the social security number issue out so please let me know.
Gabe slept through the night Sunday! Yippee! I laid him down around 9:00 and at 5:15 am, I heard him talking to himself so I went and got him. He was all smiles. He is also holding a rattle every once in a while and trying to discover his toes. I will post some pics later of him holding the rattle. The pic is on my card in the camera at my babysitter's house so when Aaron brings them home later, I will share with all of you.

Our big girl went to a big girl bed tonight! Check out these beautiful pictures. I can't believe that I will have to learn to refer to a bed instead of using the word crib. She also did very well with the potty today. My beautiful baby is growing up so fast. I just need to be sure to take it all in.

I wanted to post this again so that everyone can be reminded. Please contact me as soon as you can to let me know if you will be attending the baptism and/or the brunch following. We are planning some fancy things so please let me know. You can email me or you post a comment right on this website.

I am excited to have gotten in touch with the guy Charles who made Madison's baptism gown from the train of my wedding gown. He will be taking the rest of the wedding dress to make a very special blanket for Gabe's baptism and another portion of the gown will be preserved for special use on Madison and/or Gabe's wedding day. I am going to have the blanket and the baptismal dress preserved professionally so that they can be displayed prominently and it is my wish that they will be handed down through the generations. At the moment, neither Aaron or I have any family heirlooms and I really want to start some traditions, etc for Gabe and Madison and a legacy also.
On May 20th, we stopped by Fire Station 54 to say hello to the wonderful paramedics who took Mommy to the hospital when she was in labor with Gabe. Below the picture of tummy time for Gabe is a picture of two of the paramedics who responded that night.

The crew remembered me. Sadly one of the guys wasn't there because he is out with an injury until the end of June. The other one had retired recently! I guess procrastination is my middle name!
When the good Lt returns, I will see if I can get some pictures with him and the baby.(with his permission of course!). It was exciting because the one guy remembered telling me that I would deliver the baby before he gave his report and when we reviewed the records, he was right! I have the exact times from them of when we called, when they responded and when they got me to the hospital. It was a close one! I have the timeline at home and I will post later. Take care! I've also put some updates on Gabe's website. (The link says babyboy rock's website to the right hand side).

Oops! The scrolling picture wasn't added properly. Here it is again.

Hello everyone! I just wanted to drop a quick note to ask that everyone contact me regarding Gabe's baptism as soon as possible so that I will know how many people to expect. Please let me know if you are attending just the ceremony, just the brunch or both.

Thanks.

Hi all!

Just a quick note to let everyone know that we are having Gabe baptised on Sunday, June 17, 2007 at the same church where we baptised Madison. I will also be sending out the invitations this weekend.

Someone on my favorite internet board created this scrolling picture signature for me. Check it out:

Madison stayed home with Mommy and Gabe today. We had a really exciting day! Madison used the potty several times! She is getting to be such a big girl! I of course had to do a lot of laundry because she missed a few times but it was so exciting! Her little face just lit up and she was so proud of herself. I tried to take a picture but she shreiked and said NO CHEESE! I guess she just wanted her privacy and no blackmail pictures. :)

I haven't been updating this as often as I should but I hope to get some new pictures up within the next few weeks. I am returning to work on May 16th. My maternity leave just went by way too quickly. I love being with the kids but I am looking forward to returning to work.
